St louis library has a copy of the catholic early records for the county. Do you know if this couple was Catholic, or if their children were baptised in the Catholic church. I have only looked at Damiansville and Germantown for the early periods, and some of them were so dark as to be illegible. But these could be a valuable resource. I know at least some of the modern KRUSE families are Catholic.
