Re: Lost Colony of Roanoke DNA project

I read in an article that sir francis drake took those colonist back to england and that england has a record of the names of the colonist that was on sir francis drake ship. also, that, sir francis drake left on roanoke island pirates, he freed in south america, he tried to bring the pirates to cuba, but there was a storm, when he reached
Roanoke Island there were colonist on the island, they wanted to go back to england, so he put them aboard his ship and left the pirates on the ship and told them he would be back for them, when he returned, they were not there, so some historians believed the pirates went back to the mainland, that is to north carolina. the pirates were spanish, croatians, turks, africans, portugue, etc. I got a relative that is suppose to be tuscarora indian, a person from mixed turkish indian descent told me he looks like a turk, he said that when he lived in germany there was a turkish community and the people look like him. and he said they have a tribe that look like him in turkministan. interesting, the plot thickens. i will tried to find that article on the website for you about sir francis drake and roanoke island.
