Re: Hezekiah Carter (FPOC) in Craven Co., NC?

Hi Damita, Thanks, I actually already got the information earlier today on the marriage and death and I believe both are the Hezekiah I'm looking for. I work in the building that the state archives are located in, but they are in a swing space with limited research space, so I'm waiting until they move back to their regular location to do further research. I agree about Eazzear, it does sound phonetically like Isaiah, but at least in Craven County from 1880-1930, there is only 1 Isaiah and I know who his parents are, and he shows up in 1880 as well as Eazzear. I think Deloris is onto to something about the Warren Co. Carters. I've looked through the 1880-1930 census and Eazzear only appears once (1880) and Hezekiah is there from 1900-1930. I'm not sure, but I'll have a big question mark by Hezekiah and Eazzear until I figure it out. Next step for them I guess is to look for a will for Isaac (if Hezekiah is his son, it would hopefully name him) and try to get a copy of the marriage and death certificates. Thanks for your help!
