Hello all

Has anyone of our researchers found, a Black Kersey family in Elbert or Wilkes Co. GA? My earliest record of my family says that, David and Agnes Kersey once lived in Georgia, born cira 1770's.

The oral history says that Elbert/Wilkes County GA is where they last lived before moving to Indiana. David and Agnes could have died in Georgia. On the 1850 Jennings county Ind., Free Negro Registry, it gives the names of the offspring of David and Agnes, being Stephen(Sally), Dennis(Kissiah), Ephriam(Rebecca),George(Patsy)Kersey.

These are the siblings of David and Agnes, after 1851 the children imigrated to Colchester Ontario, Canada. Is there any marriage record of David and Agnes in Georgia, or any other info.
