For all of Virginia a monumental task indeed!!!! To add more problems consider that Kentucky was a part of Virginia until 1792.

I have ancestors who were born in the 1780's in what was then Virginia, but freed prior to 1820 in what is now Kentucky. No relocation, just a change in the western boundry of Virginia.
