Geogianna and others researching Hawley
I am researching the Pettiford family from North Carolina. I noticed on the Hawley website that they are from Granville county,N.C. That is were my great great greatgrandfather Edmund Pettiford was born and I visit with my relative in Oxford from time to time. Anyway I have information that Sally Hawley married Moses Pettiford March 24, 1816 and Franklin Satterwhite was the bondsman. Also John Hawley married Sarah Pettiford July 1852.
