There is a young lady, by the name of Alix Daumy, from France, who is a descendant of Francois Lemelle and Leonore. Her direct ancestor is Victorie Lemelle, whose brother is the well known, Alexandre Lemelle, and the little known, Bertran Lemelle. She has a very interesting story. Her family got stranded in France when the Civil War started. Her story just begs to be a book and/or movie and she might know of other families that were also stranded, during that time frame. She does not know “which” Francois Lemelle was the father of Leonore’s three kids. The community of this message board could enjoy someone like Alix. Can someone contact her? I, for one, would like to know all the secrets of the Lemelle family.
