Milly Hill:

I am searching for information concerning a free black female listed in the 1820 & 1830 Overton County, Tn. federal census. She is listed as head of household in both census.

She had 2 male children under age 14 and 2 female children under the age of 14 in the 1820 Overton Co. census. She was listed as between the age of 26 and 45 in the 1820 census.

She is not listed in the 1840 census of the same county.

I found a Lyle Gibson in the list of researchers who was looking for information on Hills from Overton County, Tn. 1820 - 1870. However, when I sent an email it came back saying the email address was invalid.

Milly is shown in the 1830 census as 36 and 55 yrs. of age. She has 1 female between 10 and 24 and 3 males 10 - 24 and 2 males up to 10 years of age.

Two lines up from her is a Mary Hill, age 10-24, head of household with 1 female 0-10 yrs. of age.
