Re: FPOC in Civil War
In Response To: FPOC in Civil War ()
My G Grandfather was Silas West, b. 1832, NC. I found a Silas West, a Union soldier in the 68th Col'd Infantry in NC. I have found no data on Silas from his birth until the 1870 census. He was stated as Mulatto in the 1870, 1880 and 1900 Census, he was considered Black. How do I find out if he was my relative? They don't give the birth date and I don't know the parents name. Thank for reading my post.
