Hi Everyone,

My maternal grandfather name was Norwood Thompson of Louisiana. However, I recently discovered that his great great grandfather name was Richard Thomson. Richard is listed in the 1880 Virginia US Census of Albermarle County with his wife Eliza.They are listed as colored. Is there anyone who could give me further information on Richard Thomson and his family at an earlier time period-1860 or 1870. I am unfamiliar with Virginia or any of it's counties.
