Hi Quo. My main interest is the colonial period, and I have little contact with modern-day descendants. I came across a copy of "The Swamp Outlaws" and Karen Blu's "The Lumbee Problem" and thought they shed light on the changes in the community after the Civil War.
I would imagine that since 1885 generation after generation of the mixed-race families of Robeson have grown up with an Indian identity, regardless of their origins.
