Re: Nosey girl!
In Response To: Re: Nosey girl! ()

I am called 'nosey' but from certain relatives it is meant as an insult. This one relative related a story to me that my grandmother would hear me coming and said "Oh Lord here come that nosey girl". For many years I was the only child in that household and living upstairs from my grandma. From this Aunt it was told to sound like a bad thing. Well, I lived in the same building, almost the same household as my grandparents. My grandmother taught me sewing, about the bible-how to just open it up and read the first thing you see, bed time prayers and 'caring. This aunt, who married into the family, is a jealous person and wanted to be the center of attention for the family. I recognized this as a child. She wanted her daughter to be the center. That daughter will lie, manipulate and then buy you something to be thought of as the favorite. We cousins don't buy into this. Now that I am finding information and not sharing it with this aunt, she hides pictures and say they don't exist. They showed up anyhow, because the only person who took pictures was her husband, my uncle. Well I talk to my grandma-who is deceased, because I know she knows I am researching family history to tell what she wasn't able to share. It's not about who is the favorite or the black sheep. It's about 'WHO ARE WE, Where did we come from". I AM PROUD TO BE NOSEY. I AM PROUD TO HAVE BEEN NOSEY GROWING UP'. Some of things I heard and asked about has helped me find the past. This 'jealous Aunt' has no idea the information or the sharing or caring my grandma and myself had. You know why--cause the "Jealous Aunt came to visit 1 time a year. I was with my grandma everyday. AND THE SEARCH CONTINUES.
