The main surname I'm searching is Burge also spelled Berge/Birge with allied families surnames of Henley/Hendley, Knight, Stockstill, Varnado & Warden/Wardean. Though there seems to be a lot of info on FPOC families in LA (especially in & near New Orleans),Mobile, & Pensacola it is harder to find official documents on those in the counties of Hancock & Pearl River in MS unless they were Catholic & then you can locate chuch records. Any ideas or help is much appreciated as all I have is a family bible, some more recent marriage, birth & death records, & family history passed through my grandmother from her mother & grandmother. It seems the women were the keepers of family history in that line & still are.
