Thanks for the suggestion Selma, but so far I have been unable to link my ggg grandfather George or any of his Person County 1850/1860 neighbors to any of the families identified in Heinegg's work. Jesse Day of Granville County and Nancy Day of Person County seemed like the best candidates but research hasn't produced any conclusive evidence yet. I think I'm missing a step or clue somewhere.
