Freedmen/Women ~ Graduate research

Howdy all!

This is Jay from Minneapolis. I'm researching Freedmen/women for my graduate degree in History with a concentration in Public History. My focus is on Black Seminoles but also research the other Four Civilized Tribes. I'm also in the Air Force Reserves.

In addition, I have visited many museums and historic sites for both African Americans and Freedmen/women in particular. Look forward to reading your posts and using your written/oral histories to tell your stories whenever and wherever I can to inform and educate people about your remarkable and inspiring stories.

Thank you for the honor to be a part of this discussion group. Please don't hesitate to contact me if interested in conducting an oral interview.

Very respectfully yours,

Jay Cyril Mastrud
