For the record, I did receive the record I requested from the Wake County Courthouse today as Paul suggested; and Erin Bradford has a treasure trove of North Carolina records and info. I am indebted to you all. I sincerely hope that others are encouraged to learn, share and compile info on these incredible Free Persons of Color Families. We must not let their legacy and contribution be forgotten!
