Not really. My direct ancestor would be an early French immigrant named Francois Cheval who shows up in a 1722 census of Lower Louisiana. Cheval is interesting that his plantation was attacked by Native Americans. Francois Cheval fathered a slave son with his neighbor's[Augustin Meullion] slave named Marianna in the 1760s in St. Charles Parish. Augustin freed Marianne and the son. This son grew up to became Jean-Baptiste Meullion. He would become one of the wealthiest free men of color in the Opelousas coast. Before his death, Jean Baptiste emancipated a mulatto slave he fathered with one of his slaves. I descend from her.
