I had a very fruitful research session in the courthouse in the parish of my birth. I found the emancipation of my ancestor Heloise "Eloise" Meullion. She was freed by a fmoc who was her FATHER. So, that adds another generation. But since I already know about the family of the man who freed her, I can trace him another generation to him and his mother's emancipation in 1777. I'm thrilled.
