I am doing historical research on Revolutionary War hero Austin Dabney (b. Wake County, North Carolina ca. 1765, d. Pike County, Georgia, 1830). The state of Georgia freed him for receiving a crippling wound at Augusta in 1781. He likely had blood connections to the Aycock, Harris, Pope, and Thurman/Thurmond clan of Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia. Any help is appreciated.
