I am the last one to give a hoot about white/black ancestry, given my dna. I was simply trying to sort out the various Cook families in South Carolina to see which one my John Cook (b. ca 1749) belongs to. I had hoped that since your Cook ancestor was from SC and was also of mixed breed, that we might be able to tie something together. I assume from what you said, that you don't know much about your Cooks. Thanks anyway.
