Hi Keli1, just a thought. You said Joseph was born in about 1750. If the James b. about 1683 was his father, that is a really big age gap, James would have had to be close to 70 years old when Joseph was born. It may be more likely that Joseph was his grandson. Not that it is impossible, but just based on the age, James is not likely the father of Joseph.
