I need to check a name in the "Free Negro Heads of Families in the United States in 1830". I was out looking at the new ancestry.com 1830 census and found the name "Stephen Recken" in Campbell County, TN but I was expecting "Stephen Perkins" . It seems to me that the name has been re-transcribed from a previous ancestry.com version. In my source information I did not cut and paste the name as I normally do. I need to verify from another source that it is "Stephen Perkins".
