Thanks Doug! I really appreciate that ~ in the later census records I can't find Dinah so I have tried to guess who her childen could have been. My great grandfather was Samuel Manns and he is first found in Baltimore, I believe in the 1870 Census. I believe but have never been able to verify that many of the Manns family in Ann Arundel moved to Baltimore. As a little girl my grandfather never talked about his parents, only his sisters and brothers. O have never been able to make a connection of the MANNS in Arundel to Baltimore surname MANNS. I did get a real surprise about 10 years ago. I was visiting in Baltimore with my Mother. A dear family friend came to visit us and when I opened the door he looked like he was in shock...
We all stood there in shock while he explained that he was looking through some papers left by his aunt and there it was written on a tiny piece of paper. It was really a FIND because for some reason, the Lynch family and the Manns family were amazing friends for at least 50 years and as far as I have been able to discover, the family ties were a secret in the later generations. Now I know why Bettie and Samuel MANNS named my Aunt ~ CAROLINE! Blessings,
