For years when a friend or someone in the family died, neighbors and friends, always brought food to the family. Here in the area I live in they still do. As soon as the loved one passes (and I mean that day), the food starts arriving at the home of the bereaved. This seems to be a custom. And then there is also food served at the repast.
Lasagna, fried chicken, sweet tea, casseroles, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, cakes and pies all are part of traditional funeral repasts.
So what are your favorite funeral dish?
