In July I met a cousin (Odessa) with whom I'd spoken but never met before. She's in her 80s and she and my mother were 2nd cousins. My mother knew her but she made the migration to Chicago so I never knew her, just knew of her. (I always had to identify myself to her through my mother, and then which of my mother's children this is...now I can say the one who came to your house..) I also met one of her daughters (Verda). My great-grandma and Verda's great-grandma were sisters.

After I got home, my eyes honed in on that family chart and ...wait a minute, wait a minute........I see a way to get the lineage of my maternal grandfather's mother..... I see Female to Female all the way from my great-great grandma Julia to Verda!!! Now I just need to convince her (either Odessa or one of her children) to do the test. They think I'm nuts.
