Since this is a female cousin through your uncle, this won't help you unless you are blood-related to her mother. Testing your female cousin gets the mtDNA results for her mother's lineage, nothing from your uncle. Are there any cousins whose mother was your father's sister or the daughter of his sister? Or even descended from your grandfather's sister?

For example, to get my father's mother's lineage (which I assume is what you are attempting) I tested my father's sister's granddaughter, the daughter of my aunt's daughter. Note that it is female to female all the way from my grandma to my aunt to my female cousin to my cousin's daughter.

To get your father's father's lineage, you can test your uncle's son if there is one.

how exactly is this cousin related to you and whose lineage are you trying to get by testing this person?
