Think of it like Gram has 82 Black Marbles in the bag and 18 white marbles. 50 marbles will be pulled and given to my mom. (We know the 50 marbles from her bio dad will be white). Now, probabilitywise we'd expect 41 black marbles and 9 white marbles would go from Gram to Mom, but that didn't happen. Instead, Mom got 16 of Gram's 18 white marbles, so her admixture results were 66% European and 34% SubSaharan African. With every child, you start with the same bag of marbles, percentagewise, but different ones could be picked from the bag and passed on to different children. Sonia
