Re: Study Migration Patterns

Please let me know. I'm trying to decide what to do next! What do you recommend? FTDNA, AA, or Natl. Geo.?

Hi Sherry,

NG will be the least expensive to test with ($107.00 for mtDNA or Y-DNA, check that amount yourself though) and it is FTDNA that is overseeing the testing. You will not get detailed information from them (like the AA members get) but your markers and a general idea of what continent you hail from. You can still do the research yourself if you have the time and patience. So if you test with NA it is like testing with both companies and your results will be with both. You will have full access to both company benefits. You do not have to choose one or the other.

I do not have any experience with AA, so maybe someone else can tell you why it will be more beneficial to test with AA. I do know that AA has publications on the internet that you can read for free. Do a web search for Rick Kittles.
