I have decided to re-organize or construct a burial map of three cemeteries where my family members are buried. I started last year by going out and drawing a rough sketch of the cemeteries, I included a rectangle space for each gravesite, I wrote down the name(s) that was on the gravestones or markers. For those that I could not read I asked my parents who were with me. Each year I go to the cemetery on Memorial Day or that weekend to clean, I always see numerous people there, so to make a long story short. This year I am going to go earlier as possible and stay as late as I can and visit with each and every person that comes. Hoperfully this way I will get more information for my map and some blank spaces filled in of my history records.
I am hoping to enlist two or three other people so that I will gather information for all three places.

Another avenue you might try is your local funeral home or elders in the community or churches. I am findng these people to be a wealth of information.
