I am interested in finding information about a white slave owner, B.F. Hammond for whom Hammond Texas was named. He fathered seven children by a slave named Lucy (I'd like to find out more about her). One of Lucy's children was named Charles and he married a Cherokee woman, and fathered 5 children, one of whom is my grandfather.
