I know if the person you are looking up is Gitano-Sephardi-Moorish from the Canary Island then they seemed to have boarded the ships from Cadiz
BUT..... prior to 1837(in Spain)..these people was slaves
it continued in Pr til 1898..
everyone thinks it was just black Africans and Tainos but it wasn't.
so their migration may have been forced..and you'd have to look up slave records.
