Re: [CUBA] Robinson from Jamaica
In Response To: Re: [CUBA] Robinson from Jamaica ()
Hello Hopeton, I'm just beginning to trace my family in Jamaica. My grandfather was William Robinson (known as Teacher Robinson) and he came from Clarendon. I think that he taught in Derry before he became a banana farmer. He was one of five brothers (I think that they were all boys at least). I only know of one called Percival. His daughter Olga lives in Wood Park near Gayle in St Mary. My grandfather died in Kingston in 1976 at the age of 87. I understand from Olga that members of the Robinson family moved to Cuba a long time ago. I don't know of Ivan but would love to find out more in anyone has a connection to my grandfather. Thanks. Phiippa
