My grandfather was Robert Douglas King, born into the King family in Barbados around 1897. He and his mother and his sisters, Rhoda, Dorothy, Anita, and Marguerite emigrated to the U.S. I believe his father was an accountant who decamped for the U.S. and left his wife and children in Barbados.
