Interesting thread. My grandmother, Gladys Donald, came to the US in 1921 aboard a ship that sailed from Port Antonio, Jamaica to NY. On the ship's manifest it lists Santa Marta, Colombia as her last permanent residence (defined as a residence of one year or more). GM was born in Banes Oriente, Cuba. She married my Jamaican GF who she met in NYC ca 1923. Really curious about this Colombian connection. Discovered it in Ellis Island records.
