Re: [PUERTO RICO] Vazquez
In Response To: Re: [PUERTO RICO] Vazquez ()

While going over my list this morning.
I've noticed - 22 muse (prince edwards, or virginia u.s.
(13) mius d azy (canada ) or d' entremont

I don't know if they're all related
but they seem to have surnames in common with or be related to the redmonds , blackfox, blevin, breaux, brock, broussard, burton, coyle/coil , dabney, duhon, enoli, labon, insko, ollie, landry, laroche, melanson/melancon, pennington, pettus, popes, slaven, stalks, roberts, taliafero, trachsel/troxell, ward, waya. (also names in my database)

almost 2/3 -of those listed above has a Pope , a de Leon, or a Savoie/du savoy, Troxel/Trachsel surname connection.

There's at least 15 Troxells.

So perhaps at some point they had slaves/ or traded slaves with each other from USA to Canada to the Caribbean?

I am on to something....
I don't know just what just yet! :D

t.b.

I need to read up on Arcadia
I've studied US cotton, rice & tobacco connection to slavery most of the time --but maybe i need to look at the sugar trade
and alcohol trade
between the USA/Canada & the Caribbean too? ;)
