Re: [Misc] West Indies (esp. Trottier, Robinson) P

Very Interesting!

:) I define myself as African American, but You're correct_
I should have used a better term at that time
to describe them, it would be " Creole or tri-racial". They were People that traveled (freely?) & migrated a whole lot during difficult times.

Other variations that I have of that name is Rock. Yes, there's surnames like Roque, Rook is represented too as well as Laroche, La Roche. Some of my Roche/Rocks/, LaRoche are somehow connected to the Gowings/Gowens/Goins for a long time...and Chavis.

I have checked & I did match as Cousins with 20 families from Caguas P.R.

& there's 51 families with the surname Roberts (I've never checked that one) there's
7 matches with Munoz & 21 Moody's.

______along with the surname Muis/Miuz d Azy___
Do You have the surnames Broussard, Breaux, DeLeon, Leon, Lyon, Dee Trotter, Dit Trottier , Trotter, Trachsel, Savoie & Vasquez too? Those surnames seems to repeat but then again those same names morphed a bit from region to region too.

I am getting DNA Matches from the Azores, Brazil, the Canary Islands, Connecticut.

I'm in the middle of a project, but I will look into that side of the Family, further soon.

& Thanks for Your insight. t.b.
