Do You have any Marchands on your list?
Some of my Canada connections also seem to to come or are extended family from the surname Marchand (@ 4th cousins level & 5th cousin levels - so far ?I have 8 of them on my list)

Other names that side are Baptiste DeCourtel (from france) Moniac, Half blood & Weatherford (USA)& There's many Acadian Names related to the Marchands. Most of them seemed to be in Canada 1700 & 1800s_ (in various places in Quebec, Maskinongé) -t.b.
