I am trying to locate information on my ancestors from St Catharines Jamaica in Orangeville I think. My grandfathers name was James Mighty born around 1889 or earlier. He had 3 children with Adina Brown: Ruth born 1920, Pearl born 1918, Alphonso born 1923. I am Alphonso's child. He went to work on the Panama Canal during the 1920's and abandoned his family. He returned to Jamaica and had more children with another woman. If anyone has any information about James Mighty or the origin of the surname: MIGHTY, I would be most appreciative.
