This message goes out to Melcedes or anyone who knows her.

My name is Michelle and I am relatively new to the Afrigeneas message forum. I posted my first message back in July/August 2006 re: LOOKING FOR BURKE/BATTIESTS-PORTLAND JAMAICA. Because I have limited access to the internet I was unaware of any response until a long-time family friend informed me that I had been contacted by Melcedes and that she had been sent my message by Barbara Burke to whom I am truly gratefully. This was in December. My computer isnt working so my friend kindly posted a response on my behalf and I then posted a message a few days later from my sister's house and have been checking for a response at every available opportunity but with no success.

I understand that there is to be a family reunion in Orlando Florida in July of this year and I would like to attend as I have somewhere to stay in Miami and could travel to Orlando from there. It was so good to hear from Melcedes and I would like to share all my research with her. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Melcedes for replying to my first message and to thank Barbara Burke for passing the information to her. I have a feeling that like myself Melcedes has limited internet access so I am hoping that once again someone will be able to pass this message on to her.
