I believe I might be descebnded from Hercie Barrett one of the first English colonists in jamaica in 1655. My great grandmother was the poet Alice Meynell who acclording to family tradition was related to another poet, Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Can anyone provide information on the Barrett family?
