1875 - Ontario Marriages, Orford Twp [Bothwell County], 3 Nov 1875, James Harris married Sarah Laura Gooden in Orford Twp, reg. no. 47398, LAC RG MS932, film 17.
1878 - Delayed Birth Registration for Blake Harris, b. 10 Jun 1878 in Oxford, Kent, Ontario, the son of James Hamilton Harris (who resided in Palmyra, Oxford Twp, [Kent] Ontario) and Sarah Laura Gooden. Physician was Dr. DeCoe, of Highgate, Ontario.
1881 - CAN Census (ON, Bothwell, Orford Twp, Dist 176, Sub Dist B, Div 4, penned sh 9, family 42, LAC RG 31-C-1) James Harris 31, b. Ontario, Methodist, Irish origin, farmer. His wife, Sarah 28, b. Ontario, Methodist, Irish origin. Their son, Blake 3, b. Ontario, same religion and origin.
1891 CAN Census (ON, Elgin, Yarmouth Twp, Dist 60, East Elgin, Sub Dist I, penned sh 13, family 68, ln 12, LAC film T-6333) James Harris 39, married, b. Ontario, father b. U.S., mother b. Ontario, Methodist, occupation is difficult to read, wood en???, could read and write. His wife, Sarah 38, married, b. Ontario, father b. Nova Scotia, mother b. U.S., could read and write. Their children, all single, b. Ontario, both parents b. Ontario: Blake 12; David 10; daughter 9 (unable to read her name); Mirtle 5; and Laura 8 mos. Living with them as lodgers: Emma Glover 16, b. Ontario, both parents b. Ontario, could read and write; James Gooden 66, married, b. U.S., both parents b. Nova Scotia, Methodist, could read and write, unable to read his occupation; and Emely Gooden 75, married, b. U.A., both parents b. U.S., Methodist, could read and write.
1899 - Ontario Marriage Register, Schedule B, Elgin County, stamped pg. 197, 3rd line, Blake Harris 21, b. in Highgate, resident of Yarmouth Twp, bachelor, farmer, the son of James Harris and Sarah Gooden, married Eva Minor 20, b. Sparta, resident of Yarmouth Twp, spinster, the daughter of Wm. Riley Minor and Florence Marr. LAC record group MS932, film 98.
1901 - CAN Census (ON, Elgin, Yarmouth Twp, Dist 57 East Elgin, Sub Dist B, Sub Div. 1, penned sh 15, family 172, ln 35, LAC RG31-C-1) Blake Harris 23, b. 10 Jun 1877 in Ont, English origin, Methodist, farm laborer, could read and write. His wife, Eva 21, b. 30 Sep 1879 in Ont, English origin, Methodist, could read and write. Their two sons, both b. Ont, English origin: Claude 1, b. 29 Aug 1899; and B. George 3 mos, b. 14 Dec 1900.
1906 - Ontario Deaths, Elgin County, St. Thomas, penned no. 48, stamped no. 009277, LAC RG MS935, film 125, James Hamilton Harris, 59, d. 25 Sep 1906 at 8 Chester Street, St. Thomas, Ontario. He was a laborer, married, b. Hamilton, ON, died of paralysis, was a Methodist.
1911 - CAN Census (ON, Elgin, Southwold Twp, Dist 66, Elgin West, ED 7, penned sh 6, family 71, ln 33) Blake Harris 33, b. Ju 1877 in Ont, origin England, Canadian citizen, Methodist, laborer, farmer, could read and write. His wife, Eva 31, b. Sep 1879 in Ont, origin England, Canadian citizen, Methodist, could read and write. Their children, all b. Ont, England origin, Canadian citizens, Methodist, older ones could read and write:
Okay, so it's clear that these are not your Harrises, so I tried to limit my search to a James Harris who married a Jane but found nothing that matched. I looked in other provinces, as well, but I just don't see him.
Where did you get his birthdate from? Is it possible that Blake was a middle name?

If anyone has access to Canadian records could you please check the Census and Marriage records for Blake Harris born Sept 1877, Father-James, Mother-Jane.
