Re: WRINKLE - Death record not found

Leah;

My gggf, William Barnard Lee died in 1894 in Collingwood (Simcoe County) and though I've found his will, land records and other docs, despite repeated searches, I have yet to find his death record. I don't know why this is and I was just thinking the other day that I'm going to have to go through those LATE REGISTRATIONS one mo' time. If only I could determine where he's buried. One day, I will.

I wish I could offer you more information on this topic, but I suspect some deaths simply weren't recorded.

His first wife (my gggm) is the same way. I've found her in the 1901 census living with their daughter and even though I have her death date from oral family history, I haven't had much luck with her death record.

: Hello,

: I have recently found my GG Grandfather's obituary in the Strathroy
: (Ontario) Dispatch. It states: Wrinkle - In Caradoc, on Friday,
: July 15th,1892, Joseph Wrinkle, age 63 years and 4 months

: The problem is that two distant cousins, living in Ontario and kind
: enough to do lookups, have not been able to find the record of
: Joseph's death. Is it possible that there is no official record
: or perhaps it was recorded in another county? As I'm typing, the
: thought just came to me that perhaps this is one of those late
: registrations that may be on a different film...Hmmm...

: Thanks for any input,
: Leah Wrinkle Nicks
