Leah, I'm glad to hear this. However, let me caution you to make SURE you search alternate spellings at the Nova Scotia site. You cannot use wildcards but you can use PARTIAL name spellings, so in your case, do a search for NIX, but also do a search for NI, which will give you every listing with the surname beginning with NI.

Since NIX and NICKS are probably the two most common spellings, you should do well, but for other names that may have dozens of variant spellings (depending on how they're pronounced), this little feature can be a godsend.
