Harrison;
You failed to answer my question, so I will assume (uh oh) that the answer is "NO, these people are not people of color." Regardless of who they mated with once they left Canada, while they were living in Canada, if they were not people of color, they have no business on the AfriGeneas Canada forum.
There are dozens of AfriGeneas users (like me) whose ancestors were black Canadians who did not escape to Canada from the U.S., and there are many more whose ancestors were former U.S. slaves. At any rate, THESE are the people that this board is meant to serve.
I am going to remove your postings and ask that you refrain from any further postings of this nature. The forum is intended as a vehicle where newbies and more experienced researchers can share pertinent data, ask questions, find new resources, etc. The fact that your files are on FamilyTreeMaker.com is wonderful and I wish you well with them, but they simply are not appropriate for AfriGeneas.
As an aside, my daughter's family is from Louisiana and many of her ancestors (LeBlanc, Verdun, Boutte, Olivier, Philipeau, etc.) were also exiled from Canada. But, again, those living in Canada were not people of color and I would never think of putting their pedigree on a board that is dedicated to the research of people of African descent.
There are plenty of other boards dedicated to Louisiana, Creole, Arcadian descent.
Wishing you continued success, 'cuz.
