: Denise;

: What time frame are you talking about? In addition to the online
: census data (not much for Canada), there are all sorts of church

: Good luck in your research.

Hi Lisa - thanks!

My great grandmothers sister escaped from Loudoun county VA and made it to Canada - circa 1860 - Annie TATE (or PAYNE) was about 14 years old at the time. She went with another older girl - no name known. How long she remained in Canada is not known either - I find her in New Jersey and VA records 1870 on. She somewhere met and married someone named YOUNG and was widowed early. No other details.

I realize this is a bit sketchy - grin- but am relying on the memories of two relatives who are 90+ - both who remember Aunt Annie.

Denise
