Quick up date to this entry: Thanks to A LOT of help from everyone out there we had a major break through. We discovered that Sarah Ann Ross was indeed Henry Kinley's wife courtesy of her death certificate (thanks in large part to the new information that was posted on the Family Search Pilot site). The record listed where she was buried. I looked up the information for the cemetery - Greenwood in OH - and saw that they have a live database which allows you to look up those who are buried there. Her cemetery record had the name of her parents Daniel and Mary Ross. And it said that she was born in Chillicothie. Jackpot. Using this information I did a 1850 census check for all states search for Sarah soundex Kinley. Up she comes in PA with a bunch of children including my great, great, great grandfather. they disappear again in 1860.

Now I have a new mystery trying to find Daniel and Mary in the early 1810(s). I love these challenges. Thanks to all who encouraged me to keep looking and be creative about the types of information used to verify my family's history.
