I am still having a eally hard time trying to do my research. My father's side of the family is EXTREMELY difficult to find, all i have is his oral history to go by, no birth certificates, etc. He only applied for social security in the 70's and they did not request much info then. If i could find the birth certificate for my half sister that might help. She was born in Pennsylvania i think and her mother's name was Alma Cox Murphy, from Etowah Alabama. She is buried in Mckeesport Pennsylvania..that much I do remember, my dad and brother went to the funeral.
