Alstons in North Carolina

Hello there,

I want to tell you how grateful and fortunate we are to have someone like you make genealogical porthole contributions! I admire your dedication, wisdom and generosity..... In short I'm a big fan and even if you can't help me find my relatives. I want you to know that I follow your work, your leads, listen to your advise, and appreciate all the hard work you have done.

In researching my family I found several documents which I have attached. I called the Columbus Co.,NC office. to see if they had birth certificates or delayed birth certificates for my relatives with no success. I have looked up census reports on ancestry.com and family search.com to find out who my ancestors are. I still do not know beyond a few names ( & fewer records) and I pray you can help me find out who their parents were and where they came from. I hope I can even find out more about my grandmother Mary Alston, all her siblings, who her parents were and my great-great- maternal grandparents......;-)) I'm not sure which plantation they were from.....

Mary Alston-Hill, -grandmother (my mothers mother)
Nelson Alston, grandmothers brother
Janie Alston, grandmothers sister
Fred Alston, maternal great-grand father
Lucy Campbell maternal great grandmother
Jerman aka German Everett Hill maternal grand father (my mothers father)
Aaron Hill maternal great grandfather

I have attached copies of my grandmother Mary Alston-Hill and a copy of her sister Janie Alston's death certificates. Both woman were born in Chadbourn, North Carolina and died in Raleigh, NC.

They also had a brother named Nelson Alston and maybe other siblings, whom I have not found any information on.

On the death certificates they list Fred Alston and Lucy Campbell as their parents. It was rumored that Lucy was not Mary, Janie or Nelsons biological mother. It is also rumored that they were adopted, but I don't know which parent (listed) adopted them and cannot find a marriage certificate for Fred and Lucy.

I have also attached copies of the death collection and 1930 census report of my grandmother Mary Alston-Hill her husband my grandfather Aaron Hill and my maternal great grandfather Aaron Hill who I would also like information on. I think I may have found a census report with him and his parents but I am not sure it is him....I've attach that census report and his death certificate too because I would like to know more about him, who his parents were and where they came from and so on.

Any information you provide will be greatly appreciated,
