Hello:
I have hit a dead end in my research and could use your assistance in helping me identify a crack in the 'wall' or determining when my research has come to an end.
I am trying to locate the parents names and location in Ireland for my ancestor, James Percival. We have been told that our ancestors arrived in Charleston as indentured servants. We were also told that James Percival was the ancestor that arrived from Ireland, however, because of what I've been able to locate on census reports and researching migration patterns/dates from Ireland to the US., I have reason to believe that it was James' parents that arrived from Ireland. You will see this mentioned in the 1880 census report.
I have detailed my search below. Sorry in advance for the length of this post.

Because of my lack of information on the names of James' parents or the location of his parents' birth place in Ireland, has my research in this area, come to an end? On a side note, I am continuing my research to identify the slaveholders for this family.
Any assistance that the Afrigeneas family can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
