You responded to my email back on May 30, 2008 and I wanted to update you on what I just found out. Your information was a great help back then.

I found out this week that my slave ancestor Paul West was owned by "Benjamin West". The newly released Civil War Draft Registration listed Paul West and identified Benjamin West as the owner. I never thought I would ever identify the slave owner.
